Types Of Sensors For Garage Doors

Sensors are a must have for every garage door. They are tiny devices that use different technologies to control the movement of the garage doors. There are many types of sensors for garage doors which work to ensure the safety and peace of mind of the owner.
One type of sensor is the pressure sensor which acts as a safety device to prevent the closing garage door from injuring someone. These devices sense the presence of the object by touching it. Though it is a good one it needs constant replacement due to wear and tear. They must be installed by a professional.
The Infrared beam sensor uses infrared beams and radio signals which enables it to sense the presence of an object before the door touches it. This device is easy to install by bolting its two pieces on either side of the door. The user needs to constantly check on them because they can easily become misaligned and need adjustments.
