    Truth about plastered walls

    By Home Alliance | October 15, 2008

Home Improvement, Wall, Floor,Today, people dot walls with wallpapers, they try various oil and acrylic emulsions, and they put in the most recent primers and a variety of other substitutes. Yet, plasters have stood the test of time. Plastered walls can bear heat and are generally resistant against climatic adversity and to a certain degree they can hold their own against water too. A plaster can be painted or papered. It can be accorded roughness or smoothness depending upon how a homeowner wants to add shades to it and what material does he wish to use on them. Plastered walls are not a great choice for making drills and dents.

Sand finished plasters produce a brilliant backdrop against which to measure the further shades. Smooth finish is not great to watch but is better placed in terms of cleaning and application. Plastered walls work extremely well with flat finishes and turpentine oil.
