By cooldude | April 18, 2011
Is your bathtub looking a bit run down? If your answer is in the affirmative the ideal solution will be to buy a new bathtub. However, if your purse strings are tight at the moment, resurfacing your bathtub will be a good idea. Here are some tips that will help you to resurface your old bathtub properly.
You can purchase a liner to resurface your bathtub. Once the liner is glued to your bathtub it will last for more than two decades. However these liners are made with acrylic and there is always the risk of cracking. The liner will cost you something around $1300 and will be made in keeping with the specification of your bathtub.
You can also get the DIY bathtub resurfacing kit. Though each kit differs from the other, usually you have to prepare the bathtub, apply cleaner, a primer, fillers and spray the acrylic coating. You can get the kit at $75.
