    Maintaining acoustics in the house

Home Improvement, Acoustics, Home Care,Many times you will find that voices in one room are heard louder in others. TV sound in a closed room appears like noise in the hallway. This happens due to ill-st acoustics in the house. It needs urgent attention, as the case may even get sensitive to ears.

Check through trial and error by emptying the house as to which room is the worst hit by acoustic debacle. Then place wooden cabinets at an angle in the room. You can also put wooden chairs for the effect. Wood absorbs sound. You may even put thick curtains in windows and even inside. Clothes also have an absorbing effect with sound.

Emptiness allows sound reverberation. So you should be clear in your mind to keep it filled with sound absorbing materials at reflecting corners. Acoustic ceilings also help in this matter. Add an additional cement layer on the walls to thicken it.
