    Latex or Oil-Based Enamel? Which Is The Best For Exterior House? Painting

    When it comes to painting, there are different choices for one to make in choosing the right paint and other painting materials. Choosing between the water based latex and the oil-based enamel becomes a dilemma because each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages as well as giving different results. Another distinctive feature is their prices because each one of them has got different prices. One of the facts to put in place is that the latex paints are cheaper as compared to the water-based latex.

    Oil-based paints are resistant to water and solvents are needed to clean the hands, brushes and other equipments after the painting. They are also very slow to dry as compared to the water-based latex. Oil-based enamel paint is considered to be one of the hardest paint to apply on any surface as opposed to the water-based latex paint. Oil –based paints are glossier and reflective to light than the latex paints.
