How to Paint Paneling

Have you been thinking how to paint paneling at your home? It is easy and simple if you carefully follow the procedure. Firstly get all the necessary components ready for the job – brushes, wood putty, sand paper, sanding blocks, house paints, cleaners, and joining compound.
You will have to first get rid of the cracks or holes by filling it with the wood putty. Make sure that the color of the putty is same as your paneling. Then scrape off with sand paper. Before putting primer, you should smoothen the entire surface with sand blocks. Now clean the paneling with sponge and cleaner meant for all purposes.
Use primer of the best quality so that the paint sticks on without bleeding. Your next step is painting the paneling. Use acrylic latex paint for best results. Acrylic latex dry quickly and its elasticity makes it a good buy. Always remember to apply the paint once the primer is dry.
