Finishing touches for wall papers and other decorative features:
By Home Alliance | February 15, 2010
Wall papers are no longer for the kid’s room anymore. They bring character, color, and detail to a room. Children’s wall paper borders can tell a story. A wall paper border inspired by botanical etchings can impart a delicate quality to your country style kitchen. Different styles of wall papers can be coordinated to give it a catchy look.
However, wall papers need a smooth finishing touch. Otherwise rough edges or poorly planted wall papers can destroy the entire look of the room. If wall papers of two different styles are being coordinated, then they must gel well with each other.
Otherwise the contrast may be noticeable. The walls must be damp free to give it a longer lasting.
Other decorative pieces can equally liven up a room. Such articles may range from simple candles to memorabilia to a well finished bar-corner. Home decors are a true reflection of our taste and even who we wish to be.
