Creating a Retro Kitchen Design
By Home Alliance | September 12, 2009
If you want to create a retro look in your kitchen, you can do that very easily without spending a huge amount of money. Deciding upon the color scheme for your kitchen is one of the most important and challenging parts of the project. You have to decide whether you prefer the bold and primary colors of 1940’s or aqua and pastel pinks of 1950’s. If you have enough time and money, you can paint the walls of your kitchen in the desired color to change the feel and look of the room almost instantly. But if it is not possible, any neutral color background will be great for 40’s and 50’s accessories and prints.
After deciding upon the color, you should choose the kitchen accessories, that too in the retro style. Apart from that, choose vintage linens like dish towels, pot holders and table clothes that are affordable as well as retro in style.
