Advantages of a flush plasterboard ceiling

    By cooldude | April 24, 2011

Gone are the days of single coloured main ceilings. Flush plasterboard ceilings are a part of most houses nowadays. But what had made it become so popular are its advantages over just the main ceiling.

    1. It enables space for creativity. Along with various lighting zones, a plasterboard ceiling gives way to a variety of patterns and designs. You can make it hollow and paint it yourself or put up a glass mirror

    2. It covers up cable wires, air ducts and other temporary fixtures.

    3. It helps in insulation by keeping the room cooler during summers and acting as a barrier by trapping the heat during winters. Thus acting as a pad beneath the main ceiling.

    4. It is wise to put a plasterboard ceiling rather than renovate an existing ceiling all over again to minimize cost.

So what are you waiting for? Just make one for your house!
